YOUR EXPERIENCE

The traditions of yoga are important to us and we’ll guide you through the poses quite often using the sanskrit name, but we’ll also repeat in English. Most classes are mainly yoga asana (pose) based incorporating breath work and relaxation or a meditation, depending on the class. We say breath work rather than pranayama (conscious breathing/breath control) as in general classes we don’t encourage the extended retention of the breath, which is how pranayama is categorised. So expect to be connected to the breath, using simpler techniques that can calm, soothe and aid meditation and relaxation.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Classes at the studio are mat based classes. Generally, classes are mixed level, meaning the exercises are ‘layered’ to enable clients to work at a level which is suitable for them that day.

Props such as soft balls, resistance bands and light hand weights are added for a bit of variety.

Testimonials

‘I have been re-practicing yoga every week now for the last six weeks with Sian and am absolutely delighted with the results. I started this recent course of yoga with an injury. The pain has now gone and I can return to my normal routine of running. Sian’s classes are a gentle as you want them to be. The postures are varied and there is a different focus every week. You might enter feeling the stresses of the day but after an hour you leave feeling completely relaxed and refreshed..”

Tracey M, Leamington Spa

As a relative beginner to Yoga and suffering from Lockdown stiffness, Sian’s beginner’s class was just what I needed to ease my body back into finding its strength, balance and flexibility. Sian took the time to focus on each of us in the class and it was a thoroughly enjoyable 6-week course.

Bev, Bournemouth

Sian’s yoga classes are engaging and easy to follow, she provides lots of different variations to suit my body and my mood. Sian’s classes are proving to be a definite benefit for my well-being, flexibility and health. The hour long yoga class just flies by, the class leaves me feeling calm with a sense that everything feels better in my head, love it!

Helen, Leamington Spa

We love Melissa’s yoga classes. Melissa is such a positive and inspiring teacher and welcoming to everyone including those of us who are less flexible! The classes are relaxed but we work hard. Yoga class makes us both feel healthier and less stressed. A testament to yoga and to our teacher. Thank you so much Melissa.”
