Winter Yin Charity Class
Led by Sian Gulliver
As we approach the winter solstice we’ll move through a cosy, mindful practice to embrace the darkness. Profits donated to Helping Hands.
Yin Yoga is a slow practice of longer holds in posture allowing gravity to hold us. Physiologically we’ll be targeting the deeper connective tissues so the practice requires quite a lot of listening. Listening attentively to our bodies and where we’re at – as longer holds can mean stronger sensations and experience.
Through yin yoga we’ll also be nourishing the meridians (Chinese Traditional Medicine) and flow of ‘chi,’ listening intently to our thoughts and emotions helping us to achieve calm and balance so we can live comfortably in our bodies and minds.
Dates:
Thursday 18 December 19:30-20:45
